Simplicity

Do whatever you can do to simplify your life in general. Clean out clutter and extraneous stuff you no longer use. Put yourself on a spending freeze for a few weeks (except for the essentials). See what you can cut out of your schedule and off your plate. Cut back on the number of tasks you try to accomplish in a day.

-- Barrie Davenport

Simplicity can be my policy, when it comes to:
- grooming
- relationships
- home
- food
- clothes
- styling
- exercise

Can do!

The first step is to be empty and open  ---- to receive.
Stay empty..... stay open.

The second step is to make/have a resume that tells about u... what have u done... what r u open to doing....

The third step is to make ur resume visible to relevant people, companies.

read in a blog (thechangeblog)

Life will never be perfect, but that just makes the good times all that much more important. It means instead of spending my happy moments dreading the bad moments (like I had been), I needed to enjoy the good moments. I needed to be in the moment. I needed to live my life rather than just exist.

Some people in this world are bad people, but many others are not, and that is what life is about; finding the people that make your life enjoyable and surrounding yourself with them. I am living proof that no matter how deep of a hole you dig for yourself, it is escapable if you get help. All you have to do is choose that you want to be happy and then work toward that goal.

After all, when it comes down to it, that’s all any of us really have in the end. Our own thoughts, feelings, and the people in our lives really define us as human beings. So who do you want to be?

I'm good enough

Good morning :)

I'm good enough.

I may not be perfect but I'm good enough.
____________________________________________________________

In the words of Leonard Cohen, “There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.”

I will never be perfect. I can only be good enough.

Having seen the impossibility of perfection, I sought another path, another gauge. One which has become popular in recent years: the 80/20 rule.

This states that we need to focus on the first 80%, because the final 20% takes 80% of the effort. 80% is good enough. And it’s usually the last 20% that exhausts us and kills our creativity.

This rule requires the “good girl” or “good boy” in us to settle for 80%. For the overachiever, it can feel, at first, like going out in your underwear.

But, soon you notice more joy in your work, more freedom to experiment, take risks, make mistakes. And most of all you notice that you are getting more of you—your work, your love, your voice, out into the world, rather than withholding it for fear it is not good enough.

(Clearer) Skin

I want to have clearer skin.
I have been having acne, blackheads, on n off since past 12 years or more and whiteheads since past 20 years.
Some acne have been blood-filled n nearly all of them r painful.
God guide me.

Tips:
1. Cleanse your face twice daily.

2. Apply a drying mud mask to your face weekly. Mud or clay masks absorb excess oils from the skin while toning and tightening pores.

3. Wash your hair regularly, especially if your hair is oily. The oil from your hair can be transferred to your forehead and cheeks, leading to breakouts. Use a shampoo formulated for oily hair.

A pimple on my right cheek burst sometime in sleep. Saw it (dark red) in the morning.

We can increase our fluid intake by:

1. Eating water enriched foods like watermelon or tomatoes- both over 90 percent made of water not to mention delicious and healthy for us.
(Watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and similar fruits and vegetables generally contain approximately 90 percent water weight.)

2. Milk, buttermilk, lemonade, soup contribute to our daily hydration.
(The milk in a bowl of cereal contains approximately 87% water.)

3. Keeping a water bottle with us at all times.

Water helps with:
- Breathing
- Food digestion
- Removal of body waste
- Body temperature
- Blood circulation

The ego is a demanding force that's never satisfied.
When you're tempted to focus on your personal successes and defeats, shift your attention in that very moment to a less fortunate individual. You'll feel more connected to life as well as more satisfied.

haircare -- seasons

In monsoon, I need to wash my hair once in two days.
In winters, once in three days.

Days are becoming comparatively cooler.
At times it gets humid though.

read today in an article

I learned that if you want your future to be brighter than your past, you must start acting differently. Today.

I also learned another very important lesson: I need to put myself first when it comes to love.

Space taught me about freedom: the freedom to listen to my feelings, and the freedom to trust myself.
Once I understood that I could trust myself, I realized I could accept myself, too.

- Printed tops since they will also draw attention upward. (horizontal stripes, checks, dots, yoke, prints)

Top 5 (super awesome) verses from Tao Te Ching

1. Living by Being
-i'd like you to think of your entire self as a heart that already knows exactly what to do by virtue of its very nature.
-begin noticing and appreciating your heart's continual thumping--and whatever provides the energy for the beat to go on, let its presence in your chest be a constant reminder of the Tao at work.
-just as moving water never stagnates, you will be moved by a natural force that seeks being complete within you and without your needing to step in. you can get in touch with this knowing through the practice of meditation.

2. Living by Letting Go
-living by letting go means releasing worry, stress, and fear.
-when you live in harmony with the enduring part of yourself, it will contribute to an overall sense of  being indestructible.

3. Living by Knowing When to Stop
-its not only possible, but essential, to feel your connection to the Tao while you're still alive.
-affirm: the number one priority in my life is my relationship with my Source of being.
-by practicing cessation, you'll move into prioritizing what's important in your life in that moment.

4. Living in Simplicity
-bite your tongue, zip your lips.
-give yourself permission to just be. lighten the burden you carry to be productive, wealthy, and successful in the eyes of others; and replace it with an inner assertion that allows you to access the Tao.
-affirm: i am centered in the Tao. i trust that i am able to straighten myself out, and so is the world. i retreat into silence, knowing that all is well.
-pausing before interfering will enable you to see how capable everyone truly is when they're in the energy field of someone who allows rather than dictates.

5. Living with Flexibility
-by being open to all possibilities, everyone who encounters you feels their ideas are valuable and there's no need for conflict.
-how can you fail at being yourself and trusting completely int the wisdom of the Source of everything? with failure removed from your life, you understand what Lao-tzu means when he says that "everything he does succeeds."
