Sometimes it is better to travel, than it is to arrive. -Robert Pirsig
The antithesis of rushing is staying in the moment.
Its about being mindful of what is happening now.
Your best work will be performed when you are not rushed.
And I mean this not only in the sense of rushing to complete something but also rushing to learn something new.
The travelling suffers because you are so focused on the destination.
We become perpetually unsatisfied.
There is value to had at every step.
I want you to take some time and think through,
What is causing you to be rushed?
How can you enable yourself to do your best work by focusing on what you have in front of you today?
The way of the Essentialist means living by design, not by default.
If you don't prioritize your life, someone else will.
Success can distract us from focusing on the essential things that produce success in the first place.
Our lives get cluttered as well-intended commitments and activities we've said yes to pile up.
Unless we have a system for purging them, once adopted, they live on in perpetuity.

Success is something you attract by the person you become.
Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.
1. Continually invest in yourself.
The most successful people in the world continually invest in themselves.
There is no finish line in personal growth.
You continually grow yourself.
First thing we do is follow him to his house and check his library.
-Jim Rohn
I'd be able to look in your surroundings and know your dream.
-T D Jakes
Vince Roberts (Taxi)
Just make it a part of your routine that you do something to grow.
2. Commit to building your confidence.
I had to build my confidence in order to go after my dreams.
Come boldly to the throne and ask for what you need. -Hebrews 4:16
You have not because you ask not. -James 4:2
"I'd rather ask God for everything and get 50% than ask for nothing and get 100%." -Joyce Meyer
You have to start asking God boldly.
Ask big and the results will be big.
3. Consistently be grateful.
A grateful heart is a magnet for blessings.
"Be thankful and say so to Him... " -Psalm 100:4
We enter His gates with thanksgiving, we enter His courts with praise.
Terri (offices flooded)
If the thief is caught, he must pay us back seven times what he stole. -Proverbs 6:31
I believe gratitude is a magnet for blessings.
I am so convinced gratitude will accelerate your progress.
4. Consistently give.
Look for opportunities to sow seed.
It's possible to give and yet become richer. -Proverbs 11:24
A man's harvest in life depends entirely on the seeds that he sows. -Galatians 6:7
Faith without works is dead.
-James 2:17
You have to take action towards the dream that God has put in your heart.
5:40
Do something to take action towards your dreams.
Satan always attacks those next in line for a promotion.
2. Trust God.
15:23
'Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you."
-Isaiah 41:10
Faith comes by hearing.
Faith comes and fear goes.
Push play.
Build yourself up by hearing the Word.
2. Ritualize.
-Where you'll work, For how long?
- How you'll work once you start to work?
- How you'll support your work?
3. Make Grand Gestures.
(4. NA for now)
5. Execute Like a Business.
The 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX)
Discipline#1: Focus on the Wildly Important.
Discipline#2: Act on the Lead Measures.
Discipline#3: Keep a Compelling Scoreboard.
Discipline#4: Create a Cadence of Accountability.
6. Be Lazy.
Reason#1: Downtime Aids Insights.
Reason#2: Downtime Helps Recharge the Energy Needed to Work Deeply.
Reason#3: The Work That Evening Downtime Replaces Is Usually Not That Important.
The three reasons just described support the general strategy of maintaining a strict endpoint to your workday.
Support your commitment to shutting down with a strict shutdown ritual that you use at the end of the workday to maximize the probability that you succeed.
Rule # 2 - Embrace Boredom.
1. Don't Take Breaks from Distraction. Instead Take Breaks from Focus.
Point#1: This strategy works even if your job requires lots of Internet use and/or prompt e-mail replies.
Point#2: Regardless of how you schedule your Internet blocks, you must keep the time outside these blocks absolutely free from Internet use.
Point#3: Scheduling Internet use at home as well as at work can further improve your concentration training.
2. Work Like Teddy Roosevelt.
3. Meditate Productively.
4. Memorize a Deck of Cards.
Rule # 3 - Quit Social Media.
Rule # 4 - Drain the Shallows.
1. Schedule Every Minute of Your Day.
You can batch similar things into more generic task blocks.
Your goal is not to stick to a given schedule at all costs; it's instead to maintain, at all times, a thoughtful say in what you're doing with your time going forward.
The further you get from Him, the smaller He appears in your life.
The closer you get to God, the bigger He becomes.
And you realize, He can heal you from every wound, every hurtful place, everything you've ever been through.
The righteous cry out, and God hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.
God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
-Psalm 34:17-18
Draw near into God and He'll draw near into you.
You will never outgrow warfare, you must simply learn to fight!
By speaking God's Word out of your mouth.
God you said, "Your unfailing love will be my comfort".
13:30
3 keys to build your confidence to go after your dreams:
1. Open your eyes.
See yourself the way God sees you.
"Thank you God for loving me."
2. Open your ears.
Hear the Word of God more than Satan's lies.
Listen to motivational teaching.
3. Open your mouth.
Speak what you believe, not what you feel.
It is written and He spoke the Word.
Do you know the moment you declare the name of God and you start speaking the Word of God out of your mouth, you now have all of heaven backing you up.
You are not in this warfare alone.
Now you've got Almighty God, you've got angels fighting on your behalf.
So start speaking the Word of God.
4. Request a Holiday.
Even if don't go anywhere, spend that time together.
5. Renew your Commitment.
(It would be nice to express your feelings (love, gratitude, ... ) to your spouse in a way you can best, by writing a small letter or something like that, and maybe reflecting on the past year or years.)
You can't have a vision without a routine to back it up.
40% of your daily activities are a result of habits.
Successful people have successful habits.
Terri's success routine:
1) Spend time with God.
2) Listen to a motivational message. (Faith comes by hearing.)
3) Read.
4) Review dreams/goals. (Keep them before my eyes consistently.)
5) Exercise.
Three things are required in order to have good habits:
1. Knowledge
2. Skill
3. Desire
That's something only you can decide for yourself.
"If you want to see a change in your life, change something you do daily." -John Maxwell
